I am writing to highlight the profound psychosocial impact that facial deformities can have on individuals and the transformative role that surgical interventions play in improving their quality of life (QoL). Facial deformities not only affect one’s physical appearance but also have far-reaching consequences on mental health, self-esteem, and social interactions. Facial deformities, whether congenital or acquired, can profoundly impact an individual’s self-esteem, social integration, and overall QoL. Facial deformities, whether congenital or acquired, can profoundly affect an individual’s psychological and social well-being.
